After the Hudaybiyyah treaty was violated, the Prophet ﷺ advanced toward Makkah with a large force while seeking to minimise bloodshed. He entered the city in humility, lowering his head rather than celebrating with arrogance.
The idols around the Kaʿbah were removed and its worship restored to Allah alone. Many former enemies received amnesty. At the moment of greatest earthly power, the Prophet ﷺ demonstrated restraint and forgiveness, allowing reconciliation to replace generations of revenge.
