Good friends encourage truth, growth and responsibility. A friendship should not require you to hide your values or harm someone else.
Try this
Be the friend who protects another person’s dignity when they are absent.
Truthfulness, modesty and kindness apply online too. A screen does not remove responsibility for words, rumours or embarrassing content.
Try this
Before sharing, ask: Is it true, helpful and respectful?
Real strength includes controlling your response when emotions are intense. Pause, change position, make wuḍū and choose words carefully.
Try this
Delay one angry reply until you can answer calmly.
Patience does not mean doing nothing. It means continuing with prayer, good choices, support and effort while trusting Allah.
Try this
Speak to a trusted adult when a burden feels too heavy to carry alone.
Prophetic leadership is honest, responsible and compassionate. It is measured by service—not attention, titles or control.
Try this
Solve one small problem for your family, class or community.
Do not forward it. Ask the group to stop, protect the person’s dignity and alert a responsible adult if someone may be harmed.
Stay calm and clear. You do not need to insult them or apologise for your values. Good courage is principled without becoming arrogant.
Take responsibility, apologise where necessary, correct what you can and return to Allah. A mistake does not have to become your identity.
Remember that online lives are edited. Step away, practise gratitude and focus on the responsibilities and opportunities Allah has placed before you.
